My name is Goldi Lieberperson and I am a Junior at Miami Beach Senior High School. Outside of school, I work part-time in the Miami Beach JCC in the aftercare program. This year, I am on the board of my temple’s chapter of NFTY, BESHTY, and of my local BBYO chapter, L’Olam BBG #14. When I am not doing Jewish stuff, I can usually be found sunning on the beach or at my house, wishing that I was sunning on the beach.

whyDiller?

I initially joined Diller in order to revisit Israel after living there for a semester during my Sophomore year. I was also interested in meeting and collaborating with other Jewish teenagers throughout the broader Miami-Dade area. In the last six months of the fellowship, I have been given the privilege of experiencing the leadership growth of my peers. Our most recent Shabbaton as a cohort was my favorite because the bulk of the activities that we participated in were fellow-organized and fellow-facilitated. Seeing my friends take this amount of initiative to create engaging programs on this level really inspired me to continue to develop my own skills as an interactive leader.
